Your Business Mastery Checklist2 min read

Over the last several weeks, we covered the foundation of building a solid business. The foundation of your business is that cinder block, like in the construction of a new home or building, without that foundation being strong, you cannot build any further.

We have covered the four areas of Business Mastery. We reviewed time master, being effective and efficient with your time. We covered money mastery, knowing your numbers, knowing your financial statements, how to read them, how to test to measure, doing your budgeting. We covered delivery mastery, setting the standards of measurements to make sure you’re delivering properly. And most importantly destination mastery, being crystal clear on where you’re going with your organization.

Today, I encourage you all to take a step back and rate yourself at each of these four areas on a scale of one to ten. Ten, you are an absolute rock star and you’re killing it. One, you need a whole heck of a lot of improvement. That number will give you an indication of where you are and what you need to tweak in certain areas of your business. If you score yourself low, go back to read the blogs and watch the videos again to see what systems, strategies, and solutions you need to put in place to up that number.

It’s important to remember that the foundation of your business is that concrete slab. If it is not solid, you’re going to be building a business on shaky ground.

Currently as we communicate this message, we are in some crazy times. Things will eventually turn around and you want to be one of the survivors that’s going to be strong to come out the other side as an industry leader. It is important now to take the time to strengthen your foundation. Take the time to test and measure these areas to see where you can improve. Take the time to brainstorm with your team of some of the solutions you need to put in place to shine up these areas. And when this economy’s rocking and rolling again, so will you.

If there’s any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out. And remember as always, attitude. Keep your mind right. Action, put the proper plans in place. Take the action and the results will come.
