Are your Systems in place?2 min read

A Business without systems is like a hamster on a wheel. The business will unfortunately experience the same old challenges again and again and again.

If a business doesn’t have systems in place I guarantee that the owner is working too hard. In this case the business will never fully work without the owner. Why? Because everything is in the owners head and not systemized.

Why do we have systems?  Following Systems are all about delivering consistent repeatable results time after time.

You may want to write this down – System is an acronym for Saving Yourself Stress Time Energy and Money!

Just ask yourself the question, “Is this Saving Me Stress Time Energy and Money or is this Costing Me Stress Time Energy and Money”? This process alone will slow you down long enough to think clearly of what needs to be in place.

Where in your business are you finding or experiencing the most frustration? The bottle necks? What’s most impacting your business negatively? What top three systems are most negatively impacting your bottom line? Take a moment and write them down.

Is it in your – Marketing – Planning – Sales Process – Employee Hiring, Training and Management? Rate yourself on a scale of 1 – 10. Ask yourself why you gave yourself that score.

Are your systems up to date? Are they documented clearly and easy to use? How consistently are you following them? Are you holding others accountable for following them?

Write down next to the items you have the answer to: Where are the challenges in each of these systems?

What’s the dollar value to this realization of understanding that my level of systemization is not where it should be?

If you are not consistent to holding yourself to a high level of systemization, you are simply working too hard. And if you are working too hard, your business just won’t have the opportunity to run on full capacity.

If you are at the bottom level of systems or don’t have any systems at all, it’s costing you major dollars in your business. You need to have a system. You need to be committed to having systemization in your business to achieve the results you want. Our goal is not to work as hard as we can. Our goal is to utilize our business to make money and provide the quality of life we dream of.

Most importantly, do not use the excuse of not having enough time to put that system in place. Just think of the Stress Time Energy and Money it has already cost you by not implementing it when it first came to mind.
