Happy Labor Day!2 min read

Let me first start by wishing everyone a Happy Labor Day. Hopefully you have a nice day planned to enjoy off at the beach, on your boat, at a picnic or just having a party at home by the pool. Maybe, you’ll be flipping some burgers and dogs later or cooking some nice steaks while drinking down a few cold ones. Most importantly today is a day to relax, recharge, have fun and enjoy.

Labor Day is a Holiday that was created in 1882 by a labor union leader named Peter J. Maguire. He proposed this day of honoring the American worker because of all the hard hours of labor they put in.

Labor Day is always celebrated on the first Monday in September, the date was chosen because it was simply “convenient,” according to Maguire, because it was midway between the Fourth of July and Thanksgiving.

Although the day’s focus on organized labor has diminished over the years, the holiday has become a way to mark the end of the summer season—and the start of the school year.

So, as you enjoy this day. Get clear and ready to rock it from September to the end of the year in your business. Summer is over, vacations are done, the kids are back at school and it’s time to crank it out and finish the year out strong.

Before you know it, we’ll all be looking to the Seasonal Holidays. Today, have that cold one, that burger or that dog. Have fun, enjoy the day and get ready to rock out the remainder of your year in business.

Happy Labor Day, everyone.
