When I think of a team I think of the Navy Seals. They are the ultimate example of what teams are. They are united. They hold themselves and their teammates to a very high level of accountability. They never make it about themselves as they always make it about the man next to them and the mission. They are always clear on their outcome and they will execute that mission as quickly and efficiently as possible.
So, when you think of your team, staff or employees, what image and thoughts do you have of them? Are you proud of every one of them as both individuals and as a unit?
Team stands for Together Everyone Achieves More!
If you are an owner of a company, your one job is to take care of the team. If your team is well trained, educated, motivated, paid on time, held accountable and recognized for their hard work, they will break down walls for you. Take care of your team and they will take care of your customers, your customers will be happy and come back again and again and even refer their friends. This in turn will grow your business of which is the reason that you started it in the first place.
So, when things aren’t going exactly like you wish, step up as a leader, make it about your team and things will soon improve.
