Matt Jorgensen, owner of Foundation Flooring, was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the ActionCOACH Business Excellence Forum & Awards in Orlando, Florida, held on February 22, 2016.
Foundation Flooring, located at 4100 N. Powerline Rd. Pompano Beach, FL 33073, distributes Flooring Materials throughout the region. The company was started in 2010 with a $10,000 loan. In 2014 Jorgensen did $1,471,248 in revenue and in 2015, that number grew to $2,045,818; a 39% increase in only 1 year.
When asked to what he attributed his growth, Jorgensen said, “With the help of my ActionCOACH business coach, Michael Dill, I became very clear on my vision, mission and culture and displayed it throughout the showroom. My vision was to be the #1 relied upon company in Florida for all your Flooring needs.” Jorgensen has grown as a leader of his team of 3 and put systems in place to run more efficiently and at a higher profit margin. In addition, he donates a portion of every transaction to selected charities and was featured on DIY network (nationally televised channel). Jorgensen’s goal is to open stores in Orlando, Naples and Jacksonville after hitting the 3 Million dollar mark.
