In business, leadership, and life, the people who stand out are not always the smartest or the most experienced. They are the ones who are deeply connected to their why.
Success begins with passion. And passion is fueled by purpose.
So here is the question:
What fuels your passion?
The Two Kinds of Passion
There are two types of passion we should pay attention to.
The first is the passion that drives you in your work. This includes building your business, growing your team, and making a real difference through leadership. It is the energy that pushes you to go the extra mile and pour into others.
The second kind of passion is about how you live. The things that light you up. The adventures you crave. The personal experiences that fill your soul.
When these two kinds of passion align, life becomes a whole lot more exciting.
When Purpose Meets Leadership
I have been a business coach for over 13 years. At some point, it stopped being about me. It became about service. It became about asking the hard questions, guiding people to their best, and helping others step into who they were truly meant to be.
However, in order to do that, I had to raise the bar for myself. I had to grow. I had to commit to working on my mindset, my habits, and my leadership.
That is where the passion kicked in.
Because as I grew, I started seeing my clients grow. Not just a little. I saw transformations.
Results That Fuel Me
I have had clients increase their bottom line by over 300 percent.
I have helped entrepreneurs scale from 7 million to 30 million.
I have coached people who broke addictions, lost 100 pounds, or got on stage winning awards they never dreamed possible.
I have had clients go cold turkey on drinking because it no longer served them or their families.
One client told a room full of people that he was off cocaine and antidepressants thanks to one year of coaching. I never even knew he was struggling.
Those are the moments that give me goosebumps. That is my passion. That is my why.
When someone shares their breakthrough, their win, their shift—I know I am doing what I was meant to do.
Living Passion Outside of Work
I also have passions that have nothing to do with business. I love scuba diving, spearfishing, fishing, and exploring the wild. I swim with sharks. I dive 100 feet deep. I chase adrenaline. I chase experience.
I recently returned from my first ever Montana fly fishing and pheasant hunt experience – two things I have never done. It was truly an experience that will stay in my soul forever.
Passion is not always about mastery. Sometimes it’s about being curious. About living fully. About leaning into the edge of who you are and what you are capable of.
Finding Your Fire
So, I will ask you again:
What fuels your passion?
What gets you out of bed with energy and drive?
What makes you feel like you are here for a reason?
If life feels like a grind, it might be time to pause and ask those questions.
Get clear on who you are.
Get present to what lights you up.
Get serious about why you do what you do.
Because once you find your passion, everything shifts.
You will lead differently.
You will live differently.
And everyone around you will benefit.
