Your Success Toolbox4 min read

Today I’m going to share with you the success toolbox. Yes, we need a toolbox of ingredients to make us successful both in life and business. I’m going to give you six little tips to carry around in your toolbox that if you consistently apply, you should be successful.

Number one is your thoughts. Your mind is your most valuable asset, treat it that way. “What you think about most mixed with emotions and backed by faith will translate itself into the physical equivalent, or reality.” What does that mean? First of all, it does not specify whether they be positive or negative thoughts. Negative thoughts need no permission to get in our brain, they just seep in uninvited. Unfortunately, there are plenty of negative influences out there. Positive thoughts need to be conditioned. Keep that in mind. If you’re not conditioning your mind positively every day, you’re leaving room for negative thoughts. They’re going to swirl around in your mind and you’re going to produce the opposite results you’re looking for. However, if you’re conditioning yourself positively, you’re thinking right, you’re taking the right actions, you’ll produce the equivalent and reality of what you’re looking for. Think of your mind as a fertile garden, it’s up to you to plant the right seeds, because if you’re not planting the right seeds, weeds are going to show up and that’s not going to serve.

Number two, reading. Books are here for reason. Think about someone who spent their entire life of wisdom, adversity, challenges, trials, wins, successes, and they write a book, all that wisdom comes to you just by reading their book. If you’re a leader of an organization, if you want to get a message across to your team, have them read a particular book, delivering that message, you can then just have a little mastermind, ask them what they’re learning and how they’re going to apply it. Reading is the best form of leverage we can possibly have. We’re taking all others’ experiences in print to learn what we can apply and master ourselves.

Number three, your community. I’m blessed that I’m in a community of an organization that is full of coaches around the world, working on themselves to be the best they could possibly be to help their clients become the best they can possibly be. When you’re in an organization and community where everyone’s striving to get better, everyone’s helping each other, it’s just going to rub off on you. So, be very conscious of the people in your community and circle.

With that in mind, number four, who’s in your mastermind group? Who’s your mentors? Who’s your coaches? Do you have a mentor that can guide you, that has the wisdom as they’ve been already on the path that you are going on now, where they can share lots of advice and wisdom of where you’re going and how to take that journey because they’ve already been there? Do you have a mastermind group of which you sit down and pick each other’s brains, share ideas, strategies, wins, and losses so you can all collect each other’s wisdom to help each other move forward with your business a lot quicker?

Number five, as you’re learning from reading, mastering your mind, being in the right community, gaining wisdom from your coaches, mentors and mastermind groups, make sure you’re applying it. Knowledge is not power. Power is the application of knowledge. If we’re not applying what we’re learning, while testing and measuring, it’s worthless.

Most importantly, number six, it’s up to you. Are you committed? “Your actions speak so loud; I can’t hear word you’re saying.” We don’t have to tell anybody how we’re showing up. They’ll know and see how we’re showing up. You’ll know when you brush your teeth at the end of the evening looking in the mirror, you’ll know whether you showed up or not. I ask myself before I go to sleep every single night, “How did I show up today?”

I encourage you; apply these six ingredients from your toolbox, learn them, study them, master them, and you should be a success both in life and business.
